By: Nisar A. Mujahid Advocate Supreme Court of Pakistan
I am writing to express my sincere gratitude for the honor of witnessing the Court proceedings over the past couple of months and for the opportunity to personally convey my appreciation to the Hon’ble Judges of the Lahore High Court, Rawalpindi Bench.
The judicial acumen and transparent approach demonstrated by Their Lordships have greatly fostered a respectful and conducive courtroom environment. Such dedication to clarity and fairness is profoundly valued and plays a crucial role in upholding the trust and integrity of our judiciary.
I am particularly pleased to acknowledge the significant progress made in addressing the backlog of Criminal Appeals and Murder References up to the year 2022. The further resolution of Murder References to 70% beyond the year 2023 is indeed a remarkable achievement and a testament to the commendable efforts of the judiciary, especially the Rawalpindi Bench.
Furthermore, I would like to extend my appreciation to all the learned Judges sitting at the Rawalpindi Bench: Mr. Justice Jawad Hassan and Mr. Justice Mirza Vaqas Rauf from the Civil and Corporate side, and Mr. Justice Sadaqat Ali Khan and Mr. Justice Ch. Abdul Aziz from the Criminal side. Their exemplary performance reflects the judiciary’s unwavering commitment to justice and efficiency.
